The Adjutant's Blog

A journal of information, events and daily ramblings of Longstreet's Corps beloved AAG, Tony Zusman

I know everyone out there is hanging on, waiting to find out what the big news from the Corps meeting was for this year.

Other than moving to Fredericksburg there was not any real earth shattering decisions made at this years meeting. We voted in one new unit to full membership and accepted two new units for probationary membership.

We voted the following events as Corps Events
Gaines Mill
1st Manassas
Camp of Instruction (September 9-10th)
Cedar Creek

We voted the following as Corps Sanctioned Events
Big Bethel
Gettysburg

We found out that the "boys" still get a little testy when
the ladies get up and speak.

I guess, as the Godfather of Soul once said, "this is a man's world"

I can vouch for the fact that several of the ladies present were the voting representatives for their unit and this is something we cannot control. The Corps does not involve itself in how its member units operate and they can send any member as a representative to the meetings.

Watch the Blog this week and we continue to update the meeting as I wade through the pages of minutes from the meeting.

I return!

Yes it has been almost a month since the Adjutant has blogged you. I have been busy with plans for the Corps meeting and working a part time job that is taking up wayyyy too much of my time.

I will be posting for the next several days giving you particulars from the Corps meeting. I want to thank all my loyal fans out there who told me how much they enjoyed the blog. For those who complained about my telling of my vacation...get a sense of humor, the Corps does not operate as a 24 hour a day, 365 days a year program. We occasionally take time to live our lives.

Keep an eye out for the updates this week.

YOS

Tony
